Can I afford to have HELPING HANDS help me?

  • Yes.  We offer our Low Price Guarantee in ALL the communities we serve, so that our help is accessible to everyone.  HELPING HANDS also serves as a “bridge” to public funding through Veteran Affairs, Alberta Brain Injury Network, Community Access Program and WCB, for those meeting criteria for those programs.

What is the difference between HELPING HANDS and Home Care?

  • HELPING HANDS is a private Agency that provides quality home support services for older adults such as light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, local area transportation to appointments and social outings for clients residing in their own home or in facilities.  Home Care is a public service that delivers professional nursing and personal care to anyone requiring that kind of help in their homes.

Are HELPING HANDS staff bondable?

  • Yes.  HELPING HANDS is extremely proud of our excellent staff.  All of our employees must have experience helping others and present a clear criminal record check.  HELPING HANDS protects them with WCB, vehicle insurance to carry passengers and a personal liability insurance that allows them to work safely in a home or facility.

Continuing Care and lodge residents already receive necessary care in those facilities.  What more can HELPING HANDS do for them?

  • Sometimes resident’s families cannot be there for them, so they don’t have regular visitors who can take them for medical appointments, social outings, assist them to eat or spend quality “one on one” time with them.  Caring HELPING HANDS staff takes the place of “those who care but can’t be there”.
