OLDER ADULT PROGRAMS

We offer a variety of services to older adults to best assist them in maintaining their independence at home.   The safety of our clients is our priority.  HELPING HANDS Home Support Services Ltd. follows all Alberta Public Health protocols in providing care to our valued clients.   

COMPANIONSHIP: 

  • Provide regular personalized companionship to isolated or shut in older adults. 
  • Continuity of care to build a genuine friendship with a compassionate interesting caregiver

LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES

  • Services include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, bed change, laundry services, etc.
  • Services do not include seasonal cleaning or move-in/move-out cleanings

MEAL PREPARATION SERVICES

  • Personalized menu planning and meal preparation
  • Specialized meal support for low sodium, cardiac/diabetic/renal diets, etc. available
  • Grocery shopping (with or without client)
  • Meals can be prepared fresh to be eaten immediately, or prepared and frozen to be consumed at a later date

ERRAND SERVICES

  • Transportation to complete errands and/or pickup and delivery of personal supplies (i.e. library books, medications, post office, parcels, personal supplies, etc.)

SERVICE AREA TRANSPORTATION

  • Transportation and accompaniment to various appointments in the service area (i.e. doctors, optometrists, dentists, banks, lawyers, etc.)
